Mothers in Action Submission Guidelines
Origins-USA invites member to contribute articles to the newsletter.
Articles and reviews should be less than 500 words.
The subjects of photographs must consent to the publication of their photos.
All material must be original unless consent of the author or producer has been obtained.
The material should use accurate and honest adoption language.
Content must do one or more of the following:
- Promote Origins views;
- Present an accurate account of mothers’ experiences;
- Present a positive picture of mothers;
- Be uplifting to mothers;
- Provide factual information about the adoption industry;
- Provide insights into the experience of adopted persons without disrespecting mothers;
- Provide insights into the experience of fathers;
- Promote family preservation;
- Promote working for social change;
- Identify areas for working for social change;
- Display mothers taking action and becoming empowered.
Submissions are subject to editing.
Submissions may be sent at any time to newsletter editor Denise Roessle at: Newsletter@Origins-USA.org. Please send your submission as a Microsoft Word (.doc) attachment if possible.
